When I rendered the 1st video it rendered at 1080P and 60fps, (not Vimeo), I checked YouTube 720, the 2nd video rendered at 720 and 59. I've seen the faded ← → at the end of the clip many times but have not seen "media offline" since my initial post. I would also like the 1st line to fade in at 3 secs from the beginning, the 2nd to fade in 3 secs after the 1st and the 3rd line 3 secs after the 2nd line then have all 3 line fade out together over 3 secs. At the beginning of a clip I can grab and drag the clip back to create space for a 10 second title, however at the end of the clip, when I drag and drop a title FX, the title inhabits the entire remaining time and I spend ages cutting out title time till I get it to the 10 to 15 seconds I want at the end of the clip.Īlso, if possible, I'd like to be able to create a 3 line text title, with the top line at say size 20, the middle line at 14 and the bottom line at size 20. I don't have the correct terms to describe what I want to do, so this is going to take up much more space than necessary. Regarding the title, too bad the lwks doesn't offer a setting title length option. Manual import and export costs a few minutes, compared with the plugin. However, switching from Lightworks Free to Resolve Free just to use its part of Fusion is definitely not one of them. Mark and park a section you want to use Fusion on. I can add a title to the beginning and with some confusion add an exit title (for lack of better term) to the end. Setup Fusion as an assistant application in Lightworks. I am able to cut and merge sections of a clip and clips to clips. You can see it being explained in this user tutorial on an earlier Lightworks version, but it hasn't changed and it still holds in the V14 series and V2021.1 onwards fixed layout (so don't be put off by the V10 layout and the onscreen console*).Sorry I haven't been around to catch up on this thread, I've been working out the path to follow to get to an exported/rendered video file. It's a selection process that's used on the clip thumbnails in the bins, the viewers and the timeline(s). Note that the diamond between the two blue diamonds is the unmark button (Image credit: Lightworks) I tested the software on a 2019 Apple MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7 with 64GB RAM and a 2.3 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9 processor. A basic tutorial in setting in and out points in imported clips using Lightworks mark and park method, adding clips to the timeline and exporting the footage. A 'segment' is the region between two adjacent cuts. A 'marked section' is a region which has been marked with either mark&park or a pair of in- and out-marks. Or the blue diamond buttons below the viewers (showing the "in" button), so making it quicker to use. Lightworks is very focused on just the editing workflow. Just to clarify, if it isn't clear already: In Lightworks lingo a 'section' is any horizontal region of the timeline. It saves you time by not needing to mark both the "in" and "out" with your keyboard, so just use "i" so you can park the timeline indicator either after or before the marked "in" point. park) the playhead, that is the out point. Understanding Lightworks basic concepts will make things much easier when you do your first project. Get familiar with the terms, tools and concepts, in particular the concept of 'mark and park' around which Lightworks is built. Lightworks assumes that when you make this selection that the next point after/before your "in" mark will be your "out", so that when you stop (i.e. So find the Lightworks documentation here and read it, particularly the user guide and release notes for your version. Its called mark and park and has been the way that. Mark and park is basically the same as saying this is the "in" point I want to use and the "out" point of the section I wish to use. Marking one point and parking at another point is the same as marking in and out on other edit systems.
